The menu changes frequently and is based on what’s fresh and delicious from premium New Zealand providers. A majority of what is used in the kitchen is grown locally, then lovingly prepared to perfection by the Meat Fish Wine team.
Located on the corner of O’Connell and Chancery Street in Auckland’s city heart, the beautiful heritage building dating back to 1924, has been transformed into a dazzling new venue. Large heritage windows run along O’Connell Street, an inviting bar area welcomes you in, an open plan kitchen with adjoining chef’s table is perfect for small occasions and a luxurious restaurant and four private dining rooms for every day dining.
The impressive chandelier carefully constructed from over 2,000 Riedel wine glasses and shaped to reflect a Hei Matau is a centerpiece of the dining room. Artistic touches are also evident in the David Bromley painting adorning the walls, from a collection of paintings owned by the Apples + Pears Entertainment Group. A stroll throughout the venue will uncover many discoveries - a treat to those who love interior design. Keep an eye out for the unisex bathroom basin!
One of the largest wine lists in New Zealand completes the experience. The wine list features over 500 approachable and premium wines from New Zealand and around the world. A changing selection of wines are available to try by the glass in the bar or restaurant.
